Dreamer in me.. Seeking Answers!! Believer in me.. Finding them!! :)

If Your Friend has done these Few things for you in this Zindagi.. Never Let Them GO!

“I no longer believed in the idea of soul mates, or love at first sight. But I was beginning to believe that a very few times in your life, if you were lucky, you might meet someone who was exactly right for you. Not because he was perfect, or because you were, but because your combined flaws were arranged in a way that allowed two separate beings to hinge together.”~ Lisa Kleypas, Blue Eyed Devil

If Your Friend/ Philosopher Or Guide does any or all of these things.. Never Ever Let them go:

  • Calming Influence : Even a Well Balanced person occasionally loses their cool. We all have the ability at times to become very emotional and tense owing to sometimes intrinsic reasons and sometimes because of what’s going on around us and we cant quite control it. If you’re feeling anxiety, rage, sadness or just heavy stress, a person who can see you struggling and knows how to COMFORT you is a definite keeper
  • Understanding Your Humour: Laughter is a quintessential part of life, not only as a delightful cherry-on-top during good times, but also as a way of coping when things are hard or going badly. If you have someone in your life who understands your particular brand of HUMOUR be it Sarcasm, Rhetoric or Burn filled and can add, share, compliment and have fun in the laughter with you, hold on tight!
  • Common Interests/Hobbies: Everyone needs some HOBBIES in their life. The Fun and leisure activities we do outside of work and career allow us to unwind and release stress and tensions that build up from the pressures of the daily grind. When your Friend can be a part of these passions and activities and enjoy them right along with you, everybody wins.
  • Mutual Respect: Respect for each other is the trivial part of any good bond and relationship. It is built by honesty, reliability and trust. If both can truly RESPECT each other as people, even in the heat of a difficult argument or stubborn disagreement, the relationship will be Strong and almost unbreakable.
  • Accountability: In a Friendship, One should always do their best to support the other and embrace whatever their Friend chooses to do, but sometimes the best and healthiest way to support someone is to be HONEST with them and call a spade.. A Spade. A True Friend would never lie to you simply to spare your feelings or avoid confrontation. If someone really loves you, they’ll call you on your Possible Mistakes, and if you really love them back, you should be receptive to their criticism and know that it comes from True caring and concern.

A Wonderful Little Parable About Self-Belief

Once a businessman was up to his neck in debt, and could not see a way out of his situation. He was in the red to his creditors and his suppliers were demanding payment every day.

He went to the park to distract himself from his worries but all the same unhappy thoughts remained stuck in his head. The man dropped his head into his hands, casting about in his mind for ideas which could save his business from bankruptcy. Suddenly, an old man appeared before him.

“I see that something is troubling you“, he said. ”Won’t you share your thoughts with me?”

The businessman told him about his problems, about his lack of money and his bank’s refusal to give him some extra credit to promote his business. The old man listened without interrupting, and then said:

“I think that I can help you.”

He asked for the businessman’s name, wrote out a cheque and put it in the surprised man’s hand.

“Take this money. I’ll meet you here in exactly one year, and you can then give it back to me”.

The man didn’t have time to say anything before the old man had melted into the crowd.

The businessman looked at the cheque. In the space for the amount of money, the old man had written out a sum of $500,000, and below it was written the name — “John D. Rockefeller.” John D. Rockefeller. One of the richest men in the world!

“I can do away with all my problems in an instant!” he thought. But instead, the businessman decided to put the cheque in his safe. The thought of its existence alone gave him the strength he needed to work out a way to save his business.

With renewed vigour, he closed some good deals and managed to have the terms of his payments extended. He was able to make some big sales. Within a few months, he was out of debt and began earning money again. And a year later, he returned to the park with the cheque.

At the appointed time, the old man appeared. The businessman was ready to give the cheque back and to tell him about his successes, when a nurse came running over and grabbed the old man.

“I’m so glad I finally caught him!“ — she exclaimed. ”I hope he didn’t bother you. He often runs away from home and tells people that he is John D. Rockefeller”.

The businessman just stood there feeling stunned. Throughout the preceding year he had been busy as a bee doing business, buying and selling, in the belief that at any moment he could use that half a million dollars to save himself if the situation demanded it.

Suddenly, he realised that it wasn’t money — real or imagined — that had turned his life around. It had been his new self-belief that had given him the strength to achieve all that he wanted.

So remember, be proactive. At the crucial moment, belief in yourself always plays a key role.

Happy Women’s Day! A Gentleman’s Perspective..

106268__art-steven-donnet-willow-girl-tree-crown-leaf-sunset-plants-hill_p.jpg

Some wonder where her Magic lies?
She’s Cute but not the Uber Glam types.
Some attempt to ask her but barely pay attention
Sexism for “The Few” has become the convention.

The Reach of her Arms, The Sway of her Hips..
The Stride in her Walk, The Smile on Her Lips.
She walks into a Room, All Calm as you may please
Some Stand Others want to fall down on their Knees.

The Tap of her Heels, the Flow of her Hair
Men try humbly to show her how much they care.
They say a Woman should be two things: Classy and Fabulous
Why then can’t Men be Sweet, Caring and Chivalrous?

I as a Man apologize for some Morons you may encounter
The Perverts, the Cat callers, the Jerks and the Stalker
Please don’t generalize.. Not all Men are the same!
A Select few cannot bring The Entire Race to Shame.

We’ve all graduated with our Values and Come a long way
The Person we all were yesterday introduced us to Our Today.
In the End I’d like to Quote .. Bill Maher
“Women cannot complain about men..
Until they start getting better taste in them.”

“Every Day You Play” By Pablo Neruda

Spring-Cherry-Blossoms-in-Japan-1

Every day you play with the light of the universe.
Subtle visitor, you arrive in the flower and the water.
You are more than this white head that I hold tightly
as a cluster of fruit, every day, between my hands.

You are like nobody since I love you.
Let me spread you out among yellow garlands.
Who writes your name in letters of smoke among the stars of the south?
Oh let me remember you as you were before you existed.

Suddenly the wind howls and bangs at my shut window.
The sky is a net crammed with shadowy fish.
Here all the winds let go sooner or later, all of them.
The rain takes off her clothes.

The birds go by, fleeing.
The wind. The wind.
I can contend only against the power of men.
The storm whirls dark leaves
and turns loose all the boats that were moored last night to the sky.

You are here. Oh, you do not run away.
You will answer me to the last cry.
Cling to me as though you were frightened.
Even so, at one time a strange shadow ran through your eyes.

Now, now too, little one, you bring me honeysuckle,
and even your breasts smell of it.
While the sad wind goes slaughtering butterflies
I love you, and my happiness bites the plum of your mouth.

How you must have suffered getting accustomed to me,
my savage, solitary soul, my name that sends them all running.
So many times we have seen the morning star burn, kissing our eyes,
and over our heads the gray light unwind in turning fans.

My words rained over you, stroking you.
A long time I have loved the sunned mother-of-pearl of your body.
I go so far as to think that you own the universe.
I will bring you happy flowers from the mountains, bluebells,
dark hazels, and rustic baskets of kisses.
I want to do with you what spring does with the cherry trees.

Reflection of Chances: A Mirror’s Poem!

Featured image

Life is all about Chances, Deeds sometimes read into the meaning

Our Path can be cleared by Glances, Freedom is in it’s accurate Reading

Dwell on the Past, Learn Lessons and Create a new feeling

Listen to the Heart even if your expectations aren’t meeting

The Glitz, Glamour and Imagination can be intriguing

The Way ahead though is marked by Inspiring & creating

In The End All I’d say is…

“Attract what you Expect..

Reflect what you Desire..

become what you Respect,

and Mirror what you Admire.”

‘Today is a gift, that is why it is called The Present ..’

1471882_10152076414863185_1015542380_n

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same
hospital room.

One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an
hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from
his lungs.

His bed was next to the room’s only window.

The other man had to spend all his time flat on
his back. The men talked for hours on end.

They spoke of their wives and families, their
homes, their jobs, their involvement in the
military service, where they had been on
vacation..

Every afternoon, when the man in the bed by the
window could sit up, he would pass the time by
describing to his roommate all the things he could
see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those
one hour periods where his world would be
broadened and enlivened by all the activity and
colour of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake.

Ducks and swans played on the water while
children sailed their model boats. Young lovers
walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every colour
and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen
in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in
exquisite details, the man on the other side of
the room would close his eyes and imagine this
picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon, the man by the window
described a parade passing by.

Although the other man could not hear the band –
he could see it in his mind’s eye as the
gentleman by the window portrayed it with
descriptive words.

Days, weeks and months passed.
One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring
water for their baths only to find the lifeless body
of the man by the window, who had died
peacefully in his sleep.

She was saddened and called the hospital
attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man
asked if he could be moved next to the window.
The nurse was happy to make the switch, and
after making sure he was comfortable, she left
him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one
elbow to take his first look at the real world
outside.
He strained to slowly turn to look out the window
besides the bed.

It faced a blank wall.

The man asked the nurse what could have
compelled his deceased roommate who had
described such wonderful things outside this
window.

The nurse responded that the man was blind and
could not even see the wall.

She said, ‘Perhaps he just wanted to encourage
you.’

Epilogue:
There is tremendous happiness in making others
happy, despite our own situations.
Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness
when shared, is doubled.
If you want to feel rich, just count all the things
you have that money can’t buy.
‘Today is a gift, that is why it is called The
Present .’

The origin of this letter is unknown.
