The Blessing

“Why am i Still Living? What Wrong did i do to deserve such a Life?” asked Abhimanyu to his most loved Deity Lord Ganesha. Abhimanyu, A 9 year old Boy who now lived with his Maternal Grandparents in Nasik after losing his Entire Family when he was just 3, including his Parents to the infamous Earthquake in Bhuj, Gujarat. He miraculously was found unscathed while the Bodies of the Dead were being recovered from the Debris.

Thereafter His Custody was given to his Maternal Grandparents, who Loved him and tried to Raise him well, But He had undergone a lot of Trauma for a 9 Yr. Old Child and Depression, Fear of Acceptance and in the Process was losing out on the Ability to comprehend things. He would often stay away from Peers and had little or No Real Friends but for His Favourite Deity: Lord Ganesha

48e7be74924f777b0f96e7e81765d88d

So Everyday, He would visit the Ganesha Temple and talk for hours with the Shrine. He would complain about his Life and how he felt like a Burden to his Ailing Grandparents who lived with Bare Minimum Earnings but yet try to Give the Best of Everything to him. Lord Ganesha would simply smile back at him, or so he thought and often this resulted in him pleading and yelling at the Lord.

This day was different though, After he returned back from the Temple. He helped his Grandma make the flour for the Chapati, Ate with them, Drank the Milk and went to Sleep. But he kept tossing and turning and was unable to sleep, So he got up to have some Water. There he saw Lord Ganesha holding a Glass of Water for him. Ganesha said “Drink this my Friend!” Abhimanyu took the Glass from him and Drank the same. The Water tasted different as if soaked in Sweet nectar.

Abhimanyu said “I Hope this isn’t Sweet Poison to take me with you! I can’t go right now, Don’t want to leave my Nana-Naani at this age like this. I want to Do something in Life for them, before you take me away.” Ganesh ji smiled back and said “I know! Am not here to take you, You are my Dearest Friend and have lots to do in this Life for yourself, Your Family and The Society at Large. I just came to speak to you. One on One.. Man to Man talk”

Abhimanyu laughingly said “Ganesha you are only Half a Man and i am just 10 (Was his Birthday). So the Man to Man talk doesn’t really fit.  But Yeah, i would love to talk to you.” So Ganesha held his hand and took him outside the House where a Bright Red Bajaj Chetak was waiting for them. Lord Ganesha took the Handle and asked Abhimanyu to jump on to the back seat. Then Ganesh ji’s Scooter flew and  took him back in time to Bhuj just before the Earthquake and showed him a Visual of How His Parents saw the Ground shake and they vehemently ran to him, put him in a trunk with a Small Hole and took him to the Open Garden of their home as mortar collapsed and gave the Trunk a full blown push before they collapsed under the Debris.

Abhimanyu’s whole world spun in front of his eyes and he realized how much love and affection he was showered to when he was a Child. Ganesh ji asked “You really think you have a Bad Life? Come with me.” Then Ganesh ji took Abhimanyu to another Distant place where Abhimanyu saw Young Orphans being drugged, abused and Organs being removed and forced to become beggars by Mafia syndicates. Abhimanyu asked “You’ve opened my Eyes, My Lord but Why do you allow Butcherism by Mortals?” Ganesh ji replied “I Don’t play a Role in anyone’s Karma. The Consequences of Every Action is a Reaction. Their Karmic score will determine their Life ahead.”

Now Ganesh ji parked his Scooter atop a Tree in a nearby Forest and told Abhimanyu to ask Questions which he was carrying in his Heart. He would like to answer them all today.  Abhimanyu fell short of Words initially but then asked Ganesh ji “What Wrong did my Parents and Family do to deserve such a Death and why am i still Living? What is the Purpose of My Life?” Ganesh ji replied “Karma as i said is the Answer my friend, Not just of this Life but some are a Part of One’s Past Life too. You are living because you died at a Tender age in your Last Life when you tried saving a Baby Elephant from being Eaten alive by a herd of Crocodiles. The Mother Elephant was crying for Help as She was caught in a Deep Swamp and you heard it.” The Whole scene played out in front of them where a Young Boy jumped at the Head of a Crocodile and Threw Stones at them so the Baby Elephant got a Free side and he stomped his way out of the herd of Crocodiles but The Child fell in the Water in the Process and got Eaten by the Crocodiles.

Ganesh ji said Life is all about Karma and You are my Friend and Chosen one, Channel your Energy towards the Greater Good for People and see how this Life that you sometimes Curse would become the Most Beautiful thing in the World. Abhimanyu said “Will you Guide me?” Ganesh ji replied “Always!”

Abhimanyu that Night at a tender age found his Purpose in Life and a Friend for Life: Lord Ganesha.

A Wonderful Little Parable About Self-Belief

Once a businessman was up to his neck in debt, and could not see a way out of his situation. He was in the red to his creditors and his suppliers were demanding payment every day.

He went to the park to distract himself from his worries but all the same unhappy thoughts remained stuck in his head. The man dropped his head into his hands, casting about in his mind for ideas which could save his business from bankruptcy. Suddenly, an old man appeared before him.

“I see that something is troubling you“, he said. ”Won’t you share your thoughts with me?”

The businessman told him about his problems, about his lack of money and his bank’s refusal to give him some extra credit to promote his business. The old man listened without interrupting, and then said:

“I think that I can help you.”

He asked for the businessman’s name, wrote out a cheque and put it in the surprised man’s hand.

“Take this money. I’ll meet you here in exactly one year, and you can then give it back to me”.

The man didn’t have time to say anything before the old man had melted into the crowd.

The businessman looked at the cheque. In the space for the amount of money, the old man had written out a sum of $500,000, and below it was written the name — “John D. Rockefeller.” John D. Rockefeller. One of the richest men in the world!

“I can do away with all my problems in an instant!” he thought. But instead, the businessman decided to put the cheque in his safe. The thought of its existence alone gave him the strength he needed to work out a way to save his business.

With renewed vigour, he closed some good deals and managed to have the terms of his payments extended. He was able to make some big sales. Within a few months, he was out of debt and began earning money again. And a year later, he returned to the park with the cheque.

At the appointed time, the old man appeared. The businessman was ready to give the cheque back and to tell him about his successes, when a nurse came running over and grabbed the old man.

“I’m so glad I finally caught him!“ — she exclaimed. ”I hope he didn’t bother you. He often runs away from home and tells people that he is John D. Rockefeller”.

The businessman just stood there feeling stunned. Throughout the preceding year he had been busy as a bee doing business, buying and selling, in the belief that at any moment he could use that half a million dollars to save himself if the situation demanded it.

Suddenly, he realised that it wasn’t money — real or imagined — that had turned his life around. It had been his new self-belief that had given him the strength to achieve all that he wanted.

So remember, be proactive. At the crucial moment, belief in yourself always plays a key role.

‘Today is a gift, that is why it is called The Present ..’

1471882_10152076414863185_1015542380_n

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same
hospital room.

One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an
hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from
his lungs.

His bed was next to the room’s only window.

The other man had to spend all his time flat on
his back. The men talked for hours on end.

They spoke of their wives and families, their
homes, their jobs, their involvement in the
military service, where they had been on
vacation..

Every afternoon, when the man in the bed by the
window could sit up, he would pass the time by
describing to his roommate all the things he could
see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those
one hour periods where his world would be
broadened and enlivened by all the activity and
colour of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake.

Ducks and swans played on the water while
children sailed their model boats. Young lovers
walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every colour
and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen
in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in
exquisite details, the man on the other side of
the room would close his eyes and imagine this
picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon, the man by the window
described a parade passing by.

Although the other man could not hear the band –
he could see it in his mind’s eye as the
gentleman by the window portrayed it with
descriptive words.

Days, weeks and months passed.
One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring
water for their baths only to find the lifeless body
of the man by the window, who had died
peacefully in his sleep.

She was saddened and called the hospital
attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man
asked if he could be moved next to the window.
The nurse was happy to make the switch, and
after making sure he was comfortable, she left
him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one
elbow to take his first look at the real world
outside.
He strained to slowly turn to look out the window
besides the bed.

It faced a blank wall.

The man asked the nurse what could have
compelled his deceased roommate who had
described such wonderful things outside this
window.

The nurse responded that the man was blind and
could not even see the wall.

She said, ‘Perhaps he just wanted to encourage
you.’

Epilogue:
There is tremendous happiness in making others
happy, despite our own situations.
Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness
when shared, is doubled.
If you want to feel rich, just count all the things
you have that money can’t buy.
‘Today is a gift, that is why it is called The
Present .’

The origin of this letter is unknown.

Not Your Average Love Story!

Late in the Day, a WhatsApp notification came on Rajeev’s New Smart Phone. He wasn’t the most Tech-savvy but knew and cared just about enough to keep up with his generation. He was studying as his final year Exams for MBA course were near, so gave the WhatsApp notification a miss, and thought to himself that he’d check it a bit later.

After finishing his Studies for the day, He checked his phone for notifications which included 5 facebook notifications and 3 WhatsApp Messages. He quickly went through them all, only to find a strange message from an unknown number, He added the number to his safe list on whatsapp to see who actually had sent the message to him. It read, “Hey Wassup? Howdy.. Wanna Meet up again for a Movie tonight?” from a Pretty looking Female in the Display Pic, whom he had never met.

Was this a Prank by some of his Friends? What if it’s a case of Mistaken identity because his Whatsapp profile did not include a Display Pic or Name of himself, as he didn’t really care about it.. Nonetheless, He mustered up Courage beyond his Over and Above shy self to reply back politely.. “Who is this?” Soon came the reply, “Sweetheart, Its Neha, Don’t you remember we met at Mahi’s Birthday Bash yesterday..?” He again texted back “I Don’t know any Mahi or Neha? My Name is Rajeev.. I think your looking for a different person.” Neha replied “Oooopppss!! Sorry, I thought this was Farhan’s number..”

Rajeev replied “No it isn’t.” The technology created conversation ended on that note, but for a strange reason, unlike ever in the Past, Rajeev saved her number and name to his contact list and on Whatsapp too.  It was possibly her Mysterious Charm that led him to do this..

Once in the Day, he started to look at the Display Pic of This Really stunning Looking Female along with her status, but would never message her. He was a Principled Guy from a Wealthy South Delhi Based Jain Family, with Values, Traditions and Aesthetics well mixed in his system. Rajeev is a Good Looking Guy who prioritized his Studies and Work Ethics and would often not reciprocate Passes from the Opposite Sex, because he had it set in his Mind that He’d Marry the Girl his Parents approve and find for him.

Nonetheless, We may call it infatuation or intrigue, soon the daily affair of checking her rapid change of Display Pics and Status became an hourly one, He began to take more and more interest in it all. This went on for a few months, meanwhile he completed his MBA with 1st grade distinction and The Grandfather started stressing that he’s growing Old and wishes to see his Eldest and Favorite Grand Son’s Wife real soon.

“There is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, throbbing moment.”~ Sarah Dessen

He tried to reason with his Grandfather but to no avail and soon began the search for his Bride-to-be.  Now, Rajeev with every Possible meeting of searching for his bride to be began to get anxious, he began to compare the Prospective Brides with Neha, who was now seen as His Ultimate Girl.. A Girl who was Outgoing, Respective, Funny and Outrageously Beautiful.

So, After a Few Days he mustered up the Courage to Whatsapp Message Neha. He found that his message were getting delivered but not read by her, he searched the net about what it meant and got to know that she may have blocked him. Soon, he logged to his facebook account and searched for her, sent a message to her on facebook and Friend requested too. Two days went past and he didn’t get a response or an acknowledgment of the friend request either.

Now, he was beginning to lose it as he felt that he was madly in Love with her, but knew nothing about her besides her Name and Number, she wasn’t taking his calls or replying to his Sms’s either. He lost all hope and discussed what he could do with his Best Friend, Sumeet, who suggested that he should try his Luck on Twitter too, there everything is Open unless the Profile is restricted, he installed the twitter app on his mobile and searched users with her name. He saw a girl who quite resembled Neha, with username “L_Only_Ness”, he started to follow her on Twitter, coz. Neha’s Real name was Neha Lodha, so the user id seemed to make sense.

She would only Post Random Motivational Quotes or just talk to her Close Friends. He didn’t tweet to her as this time he wanted to get a where about of her location this time and didn’t wanna get blocked. Boom came his Luck, The Very Next Day she tweeted that she’s going to watch the Iron-Man 3 at PVR Select City Walk, this was his opportunity, he picked his Luxury Sedan and headed to the Mall to try and Catch Neha there, and possibly get to see her in Real Life and Speak to her.

He Reached the Mall and began to walk across all floors to search for her vigorously, but to No Avail. Then he thought she may have started watching the Movie so Bought tickets for the Iron Man show, but the Trouble with a Wide spread Hollywood Large Film Release in a Multiplex is that u have shows running every 15-20 minutes. None the less he tried to streak in every Audi that was playing the Movie, but it was incredibly difficult to recognize her in almost filled Halls and that too with 3D spectacles on.

He decided to give the Movie a Miss and patiently waited outside near the Exit of all the Cinema Halls. 2 shows had exited and there was No Sign of Neha, amidst all this he received a Call from his Mother enquiring about his whereabouts and suggesting him to reach a particular House in Greater Kailash, as they were to have a meeting with a Family for a Prospective Bride.

He waited another 20 minutes and left the mall disappointed, somewhat resigned to his state. He began to feel that Neha was just a Fairy and he’d never really get to speak to her, leave alone marrying her. He Left for the House at the Address mentioned by his Mother, where his Parents were already waiting for him downstairs, He quickly changed his Clothes to slightly more Formal ones and redid his Hair for an Evening of yet another evening Tea come Bride searching session, ultimately whom he’d reject or request the Girl to Reject him (as the case maybe)

“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”~ Pablo Neruda

His Mother tried showing him the Pic of the girl, but he told her to keep it inside because he’d meet the Girl in Person anyways now. He met the Bride’s Parents, Greeted them as the Parents sat down chit chatting.  He revolved his Neck to see who the Girl was but she wasn’t there yet, Her Parents informed that she was late from College and duly Apologized. A Little Later the Girl arrived and his Parents began to pay compliment to her, he didn’t raise his head to see her until he heard both Parents saying “Let’s Leave the Kids alone to get to know eachother better”

Before he could raise his Head, the Girl exclaimed “Rajeeeeev… Its so Good to see you, What a surprise!” He quickly rose to see who she was, only to find Neha standing in front of him.  His eyes literally lit-up by watching one of the Most Beautiful Creations on Earth for him, she showed Spark for him too. He murmured “Some Luck, I have been Born with!!” She heard that but didn’t question, The Duo soon began to converse about Studies, Interests etc. He suddenly felt the urge to tell her that He Loved Her, before he could say anything, All Heaven Broke Lose..  She said “I Love You! Will you Marry Me?” He was all pink, with Blushed strokes extensively on his Cheeks, only to recheck if he was dreaming? He quickly said, “Neha, or whetever your Name is.. Pinch me”

“Just when you think it can’t get any worse, it can. And just when you think it can’t get any better, it can.” ~ Nicholas Sparks

Neha stood Puzzled but did what he asked for. He Cross checked by looking back at her face and to his surprise it still was Neha, the Neha he Loved, the Neha he knew nothing about but was chasing since Months. He had never stalked in Life, but this Neha had made her do that too. He explained to her everything but soon after there was a knock on the Door, suggesting the Meeting should be over. He was about to get up when Neha exclaimed “Ten More Minutes mom.. Please!!”

The Parents agreed, and Neha began explaining her bit… “I Wanted to be a Model, but you know us Maru’s, the Parents never agree. The Farhan, whom I incidentally mistook for your number was a Model co-ordinator whom I had met over at a Common Friend’s Birthday” incidentally His number and Rajeev’s number were all the same barring the 98 in the start for Rajeev, whilst Farhan had 99, thus the mistake.

She continued to explain “My Father got to know around 15 odd days later that I had contacted and met Farhan, and he has those typical Marwari Businessmen attitude, he wouldn’t let me work and instead wanted me Married to an Eligible Partner in the same community, and it would be THE Husband’s choice to finally let me Work as Model or not, but as far as Dad was concerned it was a strict No-No.”

Now, Rajeev stood more Puzzled.. “How and when did you begin to Love me?” She exclaimed “Oops.. I forgot to tell you that, I fell in Love with you cause my Mom showed me Your Bio-Data and I recognized you from the number I had mistakenly whatsapp’d, Boy! Your Good Looking, cultured, well mannered and the Fact that you didn’t Jump on the texting mode to me inspite of a Girl’s inititated message, showed your Good Up-Bringing, I was impressed with that… a Lot”

“Later My Dad took a Call from Farhan on my Phone, and my Phone was confiscated for Good and replaced with a New Phone and Number along with a stern warning. I had started imagining about you as my Mother had enquired about you and was all Praise for You and Your Family.” She went on to explain that she wasn’t active on facebook coz. Her Father was on Her Friend List and would keep track/ spy her unnecessarily, thus Twitter was her choice of Weapon when it came to Social Networking. Rajeev told her that he had been following her on Twitter and had read that she was going to watch a Movie in the Day, she replied “Ya.. that was the plan but when I was starting back from my Classes, then I received the Call from my Mother that Your Parents had informed that they were coming with you today.. so I Never went for the Movie and rushed back from Naraina, where her College of Fashion designing was to her Home anticipating their 1st meeting, she got a Late because of Traffic and had to Rush to get Ready to meet her Dream Man!”

“A lady’s imagination is very rapid; it jumps from admiration to love, from love to matrimony in a moment.” ~ Jane Austen

Everyone in The Society immensely respected Rajeev’s Grand Dad and his contribution, along with Rajeev’s Charitable Heart, Ethical workstyle and Respect envibed in his Behaviour. She had once seen Rajeev pick a Young Boy who had met with an Accident on BRT owing to a Speeding Car’s fault and how selflessly Rajeev had raised him in his arms, seated his Bloodshed Legs at the Back of His Luxury Car, without worrying about his Designer Clothes and Car’s upholstery going dirty. When she saw him doing that, she realized that this guy was not the average guy his age, and was falling in love with him every passing day in which she waited to see Rajeev, for their Pre-Marital Meeting.

*Few Days Later*

The Engagement was fixed at a Plush City Hotel, and the two of them exchanged rings and did a Ball dance together. The Beautiful Performance followed a Hug and she told Rajeev in an extremely Light tone “I Love You and will Keep Loving You all My Life..” ….

Why We Shout in Anger!

main-qimg-4d47e0f2fa05573fe65c6c101a2421e5

WHY DO WE SHOUT WHEN ANGRY ????

A Hindu saint who was visiting river Ganges to take bath found a group of family members on the banks, shouting in anger at each other. He turned to his disciples smiled ‘n asked.

‘Why do people shout in anger shout at each other?’

Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, ‘Because we lose our calm, we shout.’

‘But, why should you shout when the other person is just next to you? You can as well tell him what you have to say in a soft manner.’ asked the saint

Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the other disciples.
Finally the saint explained, .

‘When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other to cover that great distance.

What happens when two people fall in love? They don’t shout at each other but talk softly, Because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is either nonexistent or very small…’

The saint continued, ‘When they love each other even more, what happens? They do not speak, only whisper ‘n they get even closer to each other in their love. Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at each other ‘n that’s all. That is how close two people are when they love each other.’

He looked at his disciples and said.

‘So when you argue do not let your hearts get distant, Do not say words that distance each other more, Or else there will come a day when the distance is so great that you will not find the path to return.’

“An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.”~ Mahatma Gandhi

One Day a Rich Businessman, a Kashmiri Pandit in his Mid 50’s was traveling back to his Home after successfully completing a Big Business Deal in Singapore. On his Arrival at the Indira Gandhi International Airport’s Domestic Wing, He Saw a Breaking News: All Was Lost! His House and some others in his vicinity were burnt, sparked by Communal Hatred which transgressed after the Godhra Riots. A Religious Minority who was a Majority in Kashmir had burnt Houses & Hindu’s to avenge the Death of their kin in Gujarat.

This Newsflash ushered in a series of Desperate Phone calls from him to gather knowledge of his Family consisting of a 27 Year Old Son and Early 50’s Wife! Sadly Heartache was to follow, as he had lost them both in the Dastardly act of Inhumanity.

Rajesh Handoo, in a series of moments from Pure Happiness after achieving one of his Biggest Business Deals had experienced his Deepest Malaise. All Appeared Lost…

He rushed to his Home; Vendetta in the name of Revenge was all that he had in Mind. In a week’s time he rushed to avenge the Death… With a Country made Revolver in Hand, amidst the wee hours of dawn he entered a Colony, to kill as many as he could and Die in the Process.

Near the Entrance of the Colony, A “Janazaa” was fast approaching, he hid the Gun behind his back, as they crossed him, he decided that now was the time. He Open Fired and managed to Bruise someone’s leg, in his first amateur shot. The Country made Revolver took his toll on his old hand and the hand shook vigorously, unable to fire another shot.

Within Minutes, A Pool of People rushed towards him and he was rendered invalid within minutes and was subsequently out cold. Later, when he gains his consciousness back, he finds himself in a Hospital’s ICU, only to hear stories of how The Head of that Community had got him admitted there and had cooled off the animated mob.

Rameez, 24, who was a Part time Painter, had Painted his House a few times near Diwali when all was well. He identified Rajesh and was able to empathize with his State of Perdition; he was the one who calmed the Angry Mob! Also turned out that Rameez was the Person who had lost his Arm courtesy Rajesh’s Bullet and was now permanently disabled.

Rameez was Calm, while Rajesh Looked at him with Moist Eyes which admitted his Guilt from a Moment of Madness. Rajesh’s Leg was permanently cut too, by the Angry Mob, and he realized this when he tried to get up and admit his remorseful dastardly act nonetheless Rajesh explained to him why Vendetta was at that time High on his Agenda.

Rameez in a composed tone told him “I Know Everything, My Brother.. I Forgive You! Just Promise me that You’ll help another who needs reconditioning and Help, Plz Don’t Sympathize with them Empathize always.. and You’ll understand that I really did Nothing for You The Other Day..” No More Words needed.. there was Painful Silence in the Hospital Room.

“I learn from my own daughter that you don’t have to be awake to cry.”~ Jodi Picoult

*Few Months Later*

Rajesh had begun working back, and re-located to Delhi for Horrors of Kashmir now needed to be Left where they belonged to.. in the Trash bin of His Brain’s Memory!

Work made him travel to Pune expressway and while returning back, he noticed a small Child Foster Home Centre on the Left. In a Momentary decision, he asked the Driver to Stop, take the car a little back and Enter the Foster Home. There he asked to Visit the Children..

He Expressed his Desire to Adopt a Child, Procedure began and a few month’s later he was contacted to come and select from within the Children, when all legal clearances were made. He arrived and asked if he could see all the Kids, he could possibly Adopt.

A Line-Up of 10 Kids, was brought in front of him.. but Rajesh could not find the one he was looking for within them. Rajesh saw a Shadow from the Corner of his Eye, and he got inquisitive of who it may be.. The Strict appearing Clerk to his query replied “You don’t want that Kid. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other Kids would… But still if you wish to I’ll call him over”

The 13 Year Old was Called for and he Entered the Room in a Somewhat awkward manner, hobbling towards him trying to walk as quickly as he could.. turned out the Kid was suffering from Polio, and hence had Slight Problem in Walking! Rajesh had tears in his Eyes, The Clerk said “ See.. I Told You, You’ll…” Rajesh exclaimed “May I Adopt him Please!!” The Clerk was Amazed and wanted to ask.. Rajesh instantly rolled up one Leg of his Trouser and revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself to a specially made shoe. Looking back up at the Clerk, he said, “You see sir, I don’t run too well myself, and he will need Someone who understands…”

The Clerk quizzed the Kid, with a Quaint Smile.. “ Rameez, Do You Like Mr. Rajesh here?” Rameez smiled and nodded to show his Approval..

The Chain of Love!

“Even if things don’t unfold the way you expected, don’t be disheartened or give up. One who continues to advance will win in the end..”~ Daisaku Ikeda

One day a man saw an old lady, stranded on the side of the road, near shimla highway, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Car and got out. His Old Bike was still switched on when he approached her.

Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? What if he was a Thief? He didn’t look safe.. infact he looked poor and hungry. He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was those chills which only fear can put in you. He said, “I’m here to help you, ma’am. Why don’t you wait in a side where it’s slightly warm? By the way, my name is Rajesh Lamba.”

Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Rajesh crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack..  Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt.
As he was tightening up the tyre’s nuts, she walked near and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from Mumbai and was only a Tourist passing through. She couldn’t thank him enough for coming to her aid.

Rajesh just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Rajesh never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way..

He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Rajesh added, “And think of me.”
He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.

*Few Months Later*

The Old Lady was in Jaipur, for her Business. She had time in hand as she drove to the Hotel for the Meeting, She Felt Hungry and saw a Small Cafe along the way,  She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made it for the meeting. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn’t erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Rajesh.

After the lady finished her meal, she paid Rs. 1000. The waitress quickly went to get change for her as her Bill was only for Rs.260, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin.

There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: “You don’t owe me anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I’m helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: Do not let this chain of love end with you.”
Under the napkin were 10 more Rs.1000 notes.

Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard….
She knew how worried her husband was, Working Hard Day in and Day Out and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, “Everything’s going to be all right. I love you, Rajesh…”

There is an old saying “What goes around comes around.”

Censorship on Social Media.. Why?

This is an Open Letter to the Congress Govt. who’s trying to control & curb the Social Media in India..?

We Indians, Call ourselves the World’s Largest Democracy and Our Consitiution Guarantees us all with Fundamental Rights, Right to Freedom of Speech one of them.. isnt Blocking Social Media conspiring of a Blatant suppression of Our fundamental rights? What’s Seriously Wrong with this Congress Govt. is Instead of Decreasing Communalism, Regional and Religional Hatred on the Ground Level, it is on a difft. Agenda of CENSORSHIP!! NOT DONE..

What has This Congress Govt done to Curb Communalism, instead in the Wake of Vote Bank Politics it has encouraged Regionalism/ Casteism and Communalism.. so who are they to talk about Censorship and Speech Restriction? Next is What.. India is the Next North Korea??

If Indian Govt, continues this way.. We Shall soon become a much feared, showing lots of Promise but Delivering None..  kinda BANANA REPUBLIC!

i know i am probably inviting censorship & Censor-sibal to Block my Blog.. But I’d still risk it! What’s the use of having fundamental rights when a Govt. doesnt want to give it to its Citizens?

This is a Story About, Karan, a Young Dynamic & Up-Coming Consultant, Living in New York.

One Day, Karan came Tired home for Dinner, after a busy round of Meetings & when he saw the Watch he saw it was 10:30 pm already. He Quickly sat on the Dinner Table, upon seeing him, his 5 Year Old son, Krish ran up to greet him & welcomed him home with the Warmest Smile..

Karan Low on Energy, quickly greeted him as he Washed his Hands & sat on the Dinner Table as the sound of the Microwave Popped.  Krish was eager to tell him about the new Words he recently learned at School. But, Karan quickly told him that he was so very Tired, so He’d hear him over the coming Sunday.

Krish, then quickly asked him how was work?, to which, Karan replied, “Its fine, my Son”. Krish quickly followed it with another question, “How much do you Earn on an Hourly Basis, Dad?”, Karan was stunned & replied, “Why do you ask that?” Krish again asked, “I want to know Daddy”, Karan quickly rebutted, “I get $50 an hour & would you now please let me Eat in Peace?”

Krish waited for him to finish the meal & asked for $20 for himself. The Father gave him the same along with a Good Night Kiss on the Cheek & went off to Sleep.

A few day Later, Krish asked his Mom, for some more money citing the reason of Buying some New Stationery. Later in the Night, he met his dad and handed him over a $50 Note! He in a self implied mood told him, “I need an hour of your time, tommorow, so Plz. come Home earlier by an Hour to have Dinner with me..”

This Simple But Loavble Story teaches us, the Value of Relations & Finding Time for Our Loved Ones in this Fast Paced Monetarily inclined World! So, PLEASE GIVE SOME OF YOUR TIME TO YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY & LOVED ONES…. Always!!

“Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity.”~ Henry Van Dyke

A Short but Meaningful Story of Dreams…!

The Story is about Three Hindu Men, Part Nomads Part Saints, who are devoted to the thought of finding God on their Search Trip across India. Obviously None of them is Earning & depend upon Whatever Food is offered to them by Virtue of Gift & at times as Alms! The Food offered to them was Rarely Lavish & Normally used to be Chapati’s (Flat Bread), Dal (Home Cooked Pulses) or Khichdi (Vegeterian Kedgeree).

One day across the outskirts of Varanasi, A Rich man saw them & came to ask for their Blessings, as he was planning to venture into a New Business, He Offered them Home Made Kheer, A Local Indian Sweet dish, relished across all genres of People in India. The Kheer was about Half a Bowl.

When the 3 Men thought of Eating it, they concluded it was too less to fulfill the tastebuds of all 3 & was infact, only enough to satisfy the Tastebuds of one of them. So they finally decided, that All 3 would sleep over & in the Morning, discuss their dreams. The One with the Most Beautiful Dream would get to eat the Kheer.

The Three of them try dozing off, but to no avail due to an empty stomach, So, in a Queer resolute, the 1st one Gets up & goes Riverside to imagine what he would tell the other 2 about his dream, in calmness & without the Noise of Snore, Soon after the 2nd one, decides to walk up the hill, to gather his thoughts & Paint his Dream beautifully, with words offcourse. The 3rd manages to sleep for a littlewhile but His Sleep is somewhat distraught too, So After a while, The 3rd one, who’s also the youngest decides to get up & when he sees that both his compatriots arent there, He in the Wake of Hunger, Eats the Kheer, wipes his face clean & puts back the Lid on the Bowl as it was & Sleeps Peacefully with a full stomach.

The Next Morning, When all three Wake up, after what seemed a Long Long Night & Anticipating to Savour the Taste of the Sweet Dish, they all sit down, do their Morning chores, Do their Prayers & sit over to discuss their Dreams…

The 1st to Narrate his Dream is the one who went towards the Riverside, He Begins “I had the Best Dream Yesternight, My Loved Deity, Ram came in my Dreams yesternight & I had the Pleasure of His Darshan, then he asked me What do you Wish my Son?.. to which I Replied, I wish to see Ayodhya & do Darshan of Sita Mata & see the Beautiful Countryside of my Beloved Deity, Shri Ram. Shri Ram said Tathastu (I Grant your Wish) and took me away to Ayodhya, where I Saw Pristine Happiness amongst the Countrymen, Hugged Brother Laxman & Bharat, and Greeted Sita Maiyya. I had such a Great time & am sure I have the Best Dream Ever.” As He Finished Narrating the Dream & Exuberantly Happy with it, he started to lean towards the Bowl of Kheer, to Grab & Eat it.

The 2nd one interrupted his Moment of Glory & said “You did Indeed have a Good Dream, but you guys Must Hear mine as it is the Best of them all”. He Further Began Narrating his Dream.. “In My Dream came the Most Enchanting & My Beloved Deity, Lord Krishna. He asked me What do you want to see?, I Replied that I wish to see His Virat Swaroop, followed by a Visit to Mathura, He Granted me the Wish & 1st showed me the Virat Roop, and then took me amidst the Gopi’s & the Serene Mathura, where I heard the chirruping of birds to Kanha’s symhony on the flute & Gopi’s dancing in a Trance to it. I had the best time ever..”

After, hearing this Narration, All eyes were at the 3rd one, He Calmly but Confidently began narrating his.. “I was awakened in my Dream by the Almighty Hanuman, the Deity I have such Strong Belief & Love for, He Woke me up & told me that He’s gonna make this Dream worth its way in Gold. Lord Hanuman, quickly blessed me & told me to Drink the Kheer, as it was full of his Vitality & Warmth, I intermittently asked that even my Friends wanted to Eat this, to which he Replied, One of them is with Prabhu Shri Ram & The Other one with Lord Krishna having the Best time of their Life, this Kheer is Paltry to the Joy they are experiencing, also, it was Blessed with Hanuman ji’s Vitality, Strength & Warmth and I was Refusing it? Hanuman ji asked me with Raised eyebrows, “Don’t you believe me??” How Could I Say No to the Almighty Wishes & thus I Drank”, Opening the Lid on the Bowl of Kheer & showing the empty Bowl…

The Remaining Two, with a Feeling of Disdain but not having an Answer to him, looked up & accepted the Order of the Day, with a Shake of the Head.  This Story teaches us the following, Being Street Smart i.e. Being Articulate & Smart enough to Manage things in a difficult situation & moving them towards one’s own advantage very tactfully & diplomatically, A Virtue quintessential to getting things done in the Current Worldly Scenario. It also Teaches us that We Shouldn’t only Dream, Dream of Action isnt Enough, Finding a Way to Paint your Dream in Reality is most important. Those who find a Way to Make their Dream a Reality are the ones who actually win, Others just keep Dreaming!! 😉 So, Dont Just Dream it.. Do It!!
